Rosa Tidy was born in Naples Italy in 1938 and is married to Britain’s best-loved cartoonist, Bill Tidy MBE. Rosa came to England, from Italy for a couple of months and stayed on after she met Bill but who she only dated when accompanied by a chaperone.

An amazing cook and author of Rosa Tidy’s Pasta Book, a collection of over 200 delicious Italian dishes, Rosa is also an active member of both the national and midlands regions of the Lady Taverners charity, serving as chairman in the East Midlands for 10 years.

She has travelled extensively and her married life, coupled with charity duties, has enabled her to meet world figures and she has made many friends in the worlds of politics, sport and showbiz. Her cooking is renowned and actor Robert Powell said he would, "travel to the ends of the earth for one of her meatballs."

Rosa co-presented the BBC TV documentary My Naples with Bill and has many other television/radio spots to her credit.
