Claudia’s media career started in 1992 reporting on BBC’s series, ‘Holiday’. Throughout this period, she also made appearances on ‘This Morning’ interviewing celebrities including Michelle Pfeiffer and Tony Blair. Throughout the 1990’s Claudia could be seen on many other shows such as ‘Three’s a Crowd’ and ‘HeadJam’.
Between 2002 and 2004, Claudia hosted the update show, ‘Liquid News’ with 2003 seeing her presenting a daily update show for ‘Fame Academy’ on BBC Three, to run in conjunction with the second series.
In November 2009 Claudia guest hosted ‘Never Mind the Buzzcocks’ on BBC2. Earlier this year she presented the fiery reality show ‘Hell's Kitchen’ on ITV1 and ‘Let’s Dance for Comic Relief’ on BBC1 and was also one of the main presenters on Comic Relief night teaming up with Jonathan Ross. Also this year Claudia hosted coverage of the BAFTA’s from the red carpet for the BBC.
For the last three years Claudia has hosted the live coverage of the ‘Academy Awards®’ for Sky Movies Premiere, and earlier this year she also presented the ‘Golden Globes®’ for the channel.
She has co-presented ‘Sport Relief’ and ‘Comic Relief Does Fame Academy’ both on BBC1. She also fronted the London 2012 Party live from the Mall – celebrating the Olympic handover alongside Matt Baker, and the live coverage of ‘Concert For Diana’ on BBC1.
Claudia’s recent television appearances include a second series of ‘Let’s Dance for Comic Relief’ with Steve Jones, ‘Sports Relief 2010’ with Richard Hammond and ‘Strictly Come Dancing: The Results Show’ alongside Tess Daly in addition to ‘Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two’ which she started presenting in 2009. It was also announced recently that she would be taking over from Jonathon Ross as host of the cinema show, ‘Film 2010’.
Claudia Winkleman’s Arts Show is on BBC Radio 2 at 10pm every Friday evening. Claudia also presents the Radio 2 comedy series ‘Hot Gossip’.
Claudia is a regular columnist and contributor to ‘The Independent’ and ‘London's Evening Standard’.
