While she was there she invented such well known tv brands as Grand Designs, How Clean is Your House and Escape to the Country. She was the executive producer of the first series of the Apprentice and responsible for bringing Sir Alan to the nation’s screens.
In 2005 she started her own production company Silver River which now employs sixty people. At the BBC she started the poll to find the Nation’s Favourite poem and has since published eight highly successful poetry anthologies , including 101 Poems that could Save your Life.
She now writes a poetry column for the Sunday Times. In 2010 she published her first novel My Last Duchess which has been a best seller both here and in the US and has been translated into nine languages.
She is married with two daughters and three dogs. She has won a BAFTA, a RTS award and the Bradford and Bingley Personal Finance award!

Daisy Goodwin has spoken at very many literary festivals including Hay on Wye, Cheltenham, and Oxford. She has appeared on Newsnight, BBC Breakfast and Woman’s Hour and the Today Programme.
She recently did a Great Lives on Shakespeare for Radio 4. In September 2011 she gave the Blackwells Creative Writing Lecture at Oxford Brookes University.
